Riyaz Kharat (born in Karbala) is one of the eminent Iranian Scientists in the field of Chemical engineering and Petroleum engineering. He is the full professor of Petroleum University of Technology and now he is the dean of Tehran Faculty of Petroleum (Petroleum School of Accounting and Financial Sciences). His interest research and activities is about the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), Improved Oil Recovery (IOR), Asphaltene & Wax studies, Thermal Recovery Methods, and Reservoir Modeling & Simulation.
